Abstract Research on natural convection is exciting in some experimental and numerical cases, especially rectangular cavities with relatively low heat dissipation thermal control systems cost, reliability, ease of use. The present study will use the meshless radial basis function method to solve velocity formulation Navier–Stokes equations by varying nominal Rayleigh numbers 10 4 , 5 6 . accuracy compared previous research. advantages are that it does not require a structured mesh inter-nodal connectivity. results show temperature pattern identical calculations have been done for three different 151 × nodes. variations Ra number affect isothermal, contours, Nusselt number.
